lisa-alderson
Lisa was born in Lancashire, but now lives and works in a lovely village near York. After gaining her degree in Scientific and Natural History Illustration at Blackpool college she went straight into freelance work as one of Advocates artists, and has stayed there ever since. Over 15 years later she‘s still doing her first love – creating artworks. It feels a privilege to her, to be part of Advocate and do something that she‘s loved for as long as she could remember. Her inspirations come from anything and everything that's aesthetically pleasing, especially the beauty of nature and all pretty things. Its been an obsession she's had since childhood, studying early 20th century children‘s book illustrations, spending time in the company of Peter Rabbit, Jemima, flower fairies and the characters from Lady bird books. When she‘s not working she can be found spending time with her twins and Dillon the Dog, busy getting sore fingers building Lego, trampolining and going on adventures in rabbit holes
