Gaby Verdooren is a professional Latinx illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York. Gaby discovered her passion for illustration at a young age, drawing forest creatures in the corners of her notebooks in school when she wasn't supposed to. She pursued her love for painting and storytelling, graduating from Parsons School of Design with a BFA in illustration. Her work draws inspiration from her passion for the natural world, folklore, and feelings of nostalgia. Permanently in touch with a range of different cultures, she has developed a great sense of adaptation and communication. She aims to help her audience feel warmth and connect to her work. Gaby works in both traditional and digital media, constantly exploring new ways to create engaging imagery and she is always eager to share her creativity. When not at her desk, she can often be found obsessing over video games, napping with her three dogs, and blasting music through her earbuds
